Town Forward Charlotte Kellett is set to depart the club this summer after accepting a scholarship offer from the University of North Alabama in the United States.
Charlotte, 19, joined Ipswich Town from C&K Basildon in the summer of 2017, initially linking up with the Blues' Under 21 setup.

After spending the majority of the 2017/18 season sidelined with a torn ACL, Charlotte returned to action last pre-season and soon established herself as the young Tractor Girls' starting number nine.

Charlotte departs for Florence, Alabama after an impressive campaign in the WSL Academy League, scoring 14 goals in 20 appearances.

After initially making her first-team debut back in October, Charlotte's red-hot form would soon see her earn more opportunities in Joe Sheehan's side. In the latter stages of the season she became a regular starter for Town's first team and scored her first senior goal for Ipswich Town against Luton Town in April.

In total Charlotte made 7 first-team appearances, scoring twice.

On her impending departure, Charlotte said: " It was a massive decision for me to leave the club, but I felt this opportunity was something I couldn't turn down and I'm excited for the next chapter in my football career."

"I've had an incredible couple of seasons at the club and I can't thank Ipswich Town enough for everything they've done for me and I leave with lots of great memories, I had a tough time with coming back from tearing my ACL and the club were fantastic throughout my recovery."

"I've met a lot of great people along the way and I've enjoyed every moment. I'd like to wish the club, staff and teammates all the best for the future."

On losing Charlotte, Town boss Joe Sheehan said: "Charlotte is a huge character at our football club with an exceptional attitude. I remember watching her spend months on end running every session in wind, rain and shine whilst recovering from her lengthy ACL injury."

"Her work ethic and resilience are exceptional and it is no surprise to me that this opportunity has come up for her following her first season back to full fitness."

"It was something Charlotte always wanted to do and although she is a loss to our football club, I'm pleased she has overcome her hurdles and earned her chance to pursue those dreams."

Everyone at Ipswich Town Football Club would like to thank Charlotte for her outstanding effort and commitment to the club and wish her all the best in the next chapter of the her career.
