Ipswich Town have completed the signing of experienced goalkeeper Sarah Quantrill.
The 31-year-old, who has a penned a one-year deal with an option of a further year, joins the Tractor Girls after three years with London Bees in the FA Women's Championship.

Sarah began her career at Arsenal, where she progressed through the Gunners' academy before being part of the side that won the Women's FA Cup at the end of the 2010/11 season.

She departed for Chelsea a year later and spent three years in West London, where she won a runners-up medal after a penalty shootout defeat to Birmingham City in the 2011/12 FA Cup Final. Sarah then moved on to Liverpool and spent two years on Merseyside, winning the Women's Super League during her first season at the club.

The Norfolk-born shot-stopper then joined Millwall Lionesses in 2014 and spent four years in South East London before relocating north of the river to join London Bees. During her time at The Hive, Sarah established herself as a pivotal member in the Bees' side and was named Championship Player of The Month in January 2020. She was named captain for the 2020/21 season before opting to move closer to home and join Town ahead of the 2021/22 season.

Sarah joins Joe Sheehan's side having amassed 133 appearances across the Women's Super League and Women's Championship.

She becomes the club's second signing of the summer and will wear the number 1 shirt.

" The club's going places so it's nice to be involved in a club with some ambition," Sarah told the club website.

She added; " I came into training and from that point onwards it was a no-brainer."
