Ipswich Town are delighted to announce that manager Joe Sheehan will remain in charge of the first-team on a permanent basis.
Sheehan, 30, took interim charge of the Tractor Girls in February following Carla Dickinson’s departure, combining his role with his position as Under 21’s Lead Coach.

Since his appointment, Joe has taken charge of eight matches - winning four, drawing three and losing just one.

He also claimed his first silverware as Ipswich Town boss earlier this month as the Blues won the Suffolk FA Women’s Cup for a fifth successive year.

He will continue to combine his current dual-role at the club, with Town’s Under 21’s WSL Academy League fixtures scheduled for Wednesday only match days from the 2019/2020 season.

On committing his future to the club, Joe said “ I’ve enjoyed my short period in charge."

"I’m really excited by the prospect of where I think we are capable of going and delighted with the new additions and younger players we’re going to bring in to support the existing experienced players."

"We’re looking forward to mounting a title challenge along with a good run in the FA Cup.”

The Tractor Girls return for pre-season on July 4.
