Town have completed the signing of Mexican international midfielder Silvana Flores from Tottenham Hotspur.
The 19-year-old has penned a dual-signing agreement, which will see her spend the remainder of the season with the Blues.

Silvana began her career at the Essex RTC (Regional Talent Club) where she was coached by current Town boss, Joe Sheehan. After leaving Essex at the age of 16, Silvana joined Arsenal's WSL Academy setup and featured regularly for the Gunners' U21 side. After leaving Arsenal, Silvana moved on to Chelsea to join their WSL Academy side before moving on to Reading in February 2021. After a short spell with the Royals, she moved on to Tottenham Hotspur for the start of the 2021/22 season. Having featured solely for Spurs' academy side this season, Silvana joins the Tractor Girls in search of first-team football and to help strengthen the Blues' promotion push.

Internationally, Silvana has represented Mexico at the 2018 FIFA U17 Women's World Cup (Runner-Up), the 2019 Sud Ladies Cup and two CONCACAF Women's U20 Championship editions (2020 and 2022). She made her senior debut on 23 February 2021 in a 0–0 friendly home draw against Costa Rica. Silvana becomes the first senior international player to represent the Tractor Girls.

Silvana also comes from largely successful footballing family. Her father Ruben has enjoyed a lengthy playing and coaching career, currently holding the role of Cayman Islands women's national team manager, with her siblings Marcelo and Tatiana currently signed to Arsenal and Chelsea respectively.

Silvana, who will wear the number 19 shirt, could make her Ipswich Town debut as soon as this Sunday's Vitality Women's FA Cup Quarter-Final against West Ham United.
