TRAVELLING TO RECTORY MEADOW:

Car
The postcode for Rectory Meadow is TW13 6PN.
The journey time is around 2 hours to 2 hours 40 minutes.  We would recommend that you allow at least an hour beyond the AA / Google / Sat Nav suggested journey time.  From Ipswich take the A12 and join the M25 anti-clockwise towards M11 / M1 / Stansted Airport / Watford.  Leave the M25 at Junction 12 and join the M3 towards Richmond.  After 6 miles when the M3 finishes continue onto the A316.  After 1.6 miles take the junction to the Hounslow Road / A314 towards Hounslow / Hanworth.  Continue straight on at the roundabout and then turn left into Park Road (there will be an Esso garage on your left hand side).  Follow Park Road and the instructions below.

It is of course possible to travel clockwise on the M25 to the M3 but this will trigger a Dartford Crossing charge.
There other options through London but we understand that the congestion charge now applies on weekends so if you do go this route please check before travelling. Hanworth Villa state that the most difficult part of the journey is finding the ground once you have turned into Park Road.   Their website has the following directions:

‘Rectory Meadow is at the very end of Park Road.  Go down the road until you come to a tight left hand bend. You need to go around that bend, and to ignore the entrance on your right which is Feltham Rugby Club.  Continue down the road.  Keep going until you are faced with the side of the motorway flyover.  You will see the entrance to the car park on your right.'

Parking

This information is taken from the Hanworth Villa website:
‘There is a parking area which, if people park in a sensible manner, is capable of holding up to 100 vehicles.  It should be noted that this is not a purpose built car park and the surface is not the best.  Please be aware of the pot holes especially at the entrance ramp.

The car park is not the responsibility of the club and anyone using the car park does so at their own risk.  Hanworth Villa FC will not accept liability for any accidents, damage or losses incurred.  Please ensure that you lock away or remove any valuables.  Do not leave on show any articles that may be attractive to thieves.’

Train
The ground is served by a number of rail stations, namely Feltham, Hampton, and Sunbury.

All three stations are reached from London Waterloo.   Note that there are engineering works on the day of the match so the Hampton and Sunbury routes involve a bus from Teddington.  We would therefore recommend travelling to Feltham which is around a 1.6 mile walk from the ground.
www.greateranglia.co.uk offers a number of options from Ipswich to Stratford where you change to the underground to Waterloo where you connect with trains to Feltham.  These have a total journey time of approximately 2 hours 30 minutes.  For example, the 9:41 and 10:41 trains from Ipswich will connect to the 11:39 and 12:39 trains to Feltham, arriving in Feltham at 12:08 and 13:08 respectively.   There is also a 9:06 option from Ipswich to Liverpool Street which, after a tube to Waterloo, arrives in Feltham at 11:56, so a longer journey time of 2 hours 50 minutes.
There are regular trains back into London Waterloo after the game.  Do check whether you need to go back to Liverpool Street or Stratford to pick up your connecting train to Ipswich.  Journey times are slightly longer for the return trip (between 2 hours and 45 minutes and 3 hours) due to connection times.

Getting to the ground from Feltham Station

Feltham station is roughly a 1.6 mile walk from the ground.

If you don’t fancy the walk from the station you can take the H25 bus from Feltham Station, Victoria Road Stop H towards Butts Farm.  The bus stops at Park Road (22 minutes from Feltham) where you can walk down Park Road to the Ground.  Go down Park Road until you come to a tight left-hand bend. You need to go around that bend, and to ignore the entrance on your right which is Feltham Rugby Club.  Continue down the road.  You will see a pedestrian gate on your right with a path to the clubhouse.

Tube / Bus

From Liverpool Street it is also possible to travel by underground and bus.

The nearest underground station is Hounslow East which is on the Piccadilly Line.  From Liverpool Street take the Central Line to Holborn where you change for the Piccadilly Line towards Heathrow.  The journey time from Liverpool Street to Hounslow East is around 1 hour.

From Hounslow East take a 111 bus to Bear Road Flyover.  The bus journey time is around 24 minutes.  Walk down Park Road following the walking instructions above.

PUBS:
We have done our best to ensure that the listed pubs will be open and operating without major Covid restrictions.  Please understand that some might limit numbers or insist on small groups and table service.  There are a few pubs within a mile or so walk of the ground, the obvious options being south-east of the ground:  the Hampton, The Avenue, TW12 3RA, or the Royal Oak, 45 Oak Avenue, TW12 3NR.  If neither of these appeal, then to the north-west of the ground is the General Roy, Poplar Way, TW13 7AB.
Given that the pubs are a little way away from the ground, you might try the bar at the ground itself (info below).  We have not been able to confirm it will be open, but it seems to operate as a social club, so we expect it to be welcoming!

AT THE GROUND:
Rectory Meadow has a capacity of 1000, including 150 covered seating and 80 covered standing. The floodlit pitch has a post and rail barrier and hard standing on each of its 3 accessible sides and there are toilet facilities alongside the turnstile.

TICKETS ON THE DAY:

As mentioned above, tickets will be available to purchase on the day at the turnstiles using card or cash.  Adult and senior tickets are £3 with U16s free.
The Hanworth Villa FC website indicates that entrance to the ground is via the "The Marilyn Munro" turnstile, so called because a picture of the club's mascot Marilyn, resplendent in a Villa shirt, adorns the rear of the turnstile.

PROGRAMMES:
The official matchday programme will be available at a cost of £1.

FOOD AND DRINK FACILITIES:
There is a clubhouse at the ground.  This includes a snack bar which serves a range of hot and cold refreshments from one hour before kick-off.
For men’s games, the following applies – we expect the same to be the case for women’s games too.  It is worth checking as you arrive at the bar / ground!  There is no entry into the bar area from inside the ground until after half time.  Should you wish to have a drink or use the clubhouse before the game you should gain entry via the rear entrance and not go through the turnstile until after you have had your beers.
