Lindsey Cooper will leave the Club this summer, bringing to an end a 16-year stint with the Tractor Girls' first-team.
The 32-year-old defender departs Town as the Club's second all-time appearance maker.
After initially progressing through the Club's former centre of excellence, Lindsey made her senior debut for Ipswich Town in 2006 and went on to establish herself as a stalwart in the Town side over many years. After taking two breaks from football to start a family, Lindsey returned to the Town squad and soon re-integrated into the side. She would become a key figurehead and leader within the squad, playing a prominent role as Town finished the 2017/18 season in third place.
Lindsey continued to be a dependable figure for manager Joe Sheehan, who paired her with Lucy Egan and Paige Peake as part of a new look back three. She would play every game throughout Town's historic Women's FA Cup run of 2019/20, before captaining the side in Town's final league match prior to the Covid-19 pandemic. Cooper would make her 200th appearance for the club on the opening day of the 2020/21 season against Hashtag United, becoming just the second player to achieve that feat after fellow club legend, Amanda Crump.
Following Town's promotion to the third tier and the new demands that entailed, the veteran defender was limited to playing a less prominent role within the squad and as a result, only made 4 appearances during the 2021/22 season. Her final appearance for Ipswich Town came in October, coming off the bench in the Blues' 3-0 home victory over MK Dons.
Lindsey departs Ipswich Town having made 210 appearances for the Club, scoring 34 goals.
On Lindsey's departure, Town manager Joe Sheehan said: " Lindsey has been a huge influence in the growth and progression of women's football at Ipswich Town. Her experience played a huge role in our team's success over the last few years and her ability to help guide and support with younger players' development through her leadership and communication is unmatched."
He added: " She's a fabulous footballer and someone who could have had a long career as a professional had she been born 10 years later. Juggling work, a family and training during the most progressive times at our Football Club isn’t easy and something Lindsey tried to do to continue her love of playing for our club. She will forever be imbedded in our club's history."

She will always be held in the highest regard and will no doubt be regarded as a club legend that will inspire many young players to want to follow in her footsteps.
