Town progressed to the third-round of the Women's FA Cup with a comprehensive 6-0 victory over higher division Chichester City at Bunn Leisure Stadium on Sunday.
Natasha Thomas struck with a pair of instinctive strikes, with Lindsey Cooper, Amanda Crump, Paige Peake and Sophie Peskett completing the scoring for the relentless Blues.

There was a tense start to the game as Chichester looked to establish a foothold in the game but the hosts soon found themselves behind as Town took the lead after nine minutes. Peake delivered her corner deep to the back-post and Cooper was on hand to bury her header beyond Isobelle Foster. Soon after, Town were awarded a penalty after an almighty scramble in the area resulted in a clumsy challenge on Abbie Lafayette. Peake stepped up and sent Foster the wrong way to double the Blues' lead.

Ipswich continued to pile on the pressure and Foster was soon called into action as she produced a tremendous save to deny Thomas' diving header. However, the Town forward soon got the better of her with a sensational strike. After capitalising on a mixup at the back, Thomas let fly with a reactionary first-time effort and caught Foster off her line from over 30-yards out.

Anna Grey was proving to be a huge outlet for Town and it wasn't long before the electrifying winger played her part in creating a goal. After battling with her full-back, Grey drifted inside before beating multiple defenders and laying into the path of the Town skipper Crump, who checked inside and fired into the top corner. Crump turned provider after the restart as she sent Peskett racing away down the right and the young Blues star took full advantage by drilling into the far corner.

Town continued to dominate and created multiple chances as the game entered the final stages. However, there was still time for the Tractor Girls to add to their tally as Thomas once again pounced on a loose ball and drove towards goal before rounding Foster and slotting into an open net. Chichester had simply been outclassed by the ruthless Blues and failed to test Nikita Runnacles in the Town net throughout the game.

The result sees Town book their place in the third-round of the Women's FA Cup for the second time in three years.

The Tractor Girls return to league action this Sunday at home to Cambridge United at the Goldstar Ground, Felixstowe. Kick-off 2pm.

Town: Runnacles (GK), Peake, Cooper, Hubbard, Wilson, Lafayette, Sutherland (Wakefield), Crump (c), Peskett (Rossiter), Grey (Abrehart), Thomas.

Unused: Billson, Egan, King, Pannifer
